The Lady Wranglers traveled to Pike MS this Thursday to take on the Panthers. The A team looked good all week at practice and our team time this week had lots of energy and confidence which they brought to the court for our game. Though we didn’t get to bring home a win, the girls did a great job! Their transitions were great, serve receive looked better, and we adjusted as best we could on defense and showed how much potential we really have. Our player of the week this week was Kennady Coronado, who not only pushed through an emotional game and continued to work hard for her team, but she also shows week in and week out the type of leader she is for our team, and continues to bring a positive energy to gym every day.

B team started off strong against the Panthers on Thursday scoring first in both sets and holding the lead for as long as they could. However, we were not able to finish on either set. Our first group in set one did a great job communicating and we had some great rallys, making the Panthers work for every point. Our second set struggled in serve receive, but were scrappy and made sure the ball didn’t hit the floor without effort to go get it. Our player of the week and leading server for the night was Lindsey Yoo.

Like the B team, our C team started off strong. We struggled being able to hold on to our lead but they had some great rallys and worked for every point we got. Even though we didn’t get to bring home a win, it’s evident that the girl’s hard work at practice is beginning to take us to a new level. We are excited to continue seeing them grow. Our player of the week this week was Aryahi Ravi.
